Roger Kruger, D.Min., AAPC, served as a pastor of congregations in Arkansas and Colorado before training as a pastoral counselor and assuming his current position as director of Partners in Caring at Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska. This is a program that provides support for congregations and pastors. In this position, he has provided therapy for church workers and their families, led spirituality retreats, taught seminars and classes related to the development of pastoral care skills, and offered church staff development workshops. He has for years written an e-newsletter entitled Fireflies. Many of the articles written for Fireflies are included in this book. He has previously published articles which have appeared in Congregations, a publication of the Alban Institute, and in The American Journal of Pastoral Counseling.
He and his wife Marilyn live in Omaha, Nebraska.
